my dear bob, I don't know who is holding you hostage, but my suggestion is to build the pictured contraption and bait it with their favorite snack. Dip into your hoard of gold and hire a helicopter to which you can fasten the UP line. Let hunger work it's course and your troubles can be flown away to the deserted island of your choice.
